Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937 and passed away 19 January 2008 was an American film, television, theatre and voice actor. [1] Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and began appearing in films in the late 1950s and later appeared in prominent films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). She also appeared in numerous television productions, mainly in guest roles, and was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978. She received a number of Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was born on January 31 1937 in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist and choreographer, who performed under the stage name of Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage manager in both the Paramount Theater and Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
